Burnham Market is a traditional Norfolk village with a central green which is surrounded with shops for all your needs, including a Baker, Butcher, Delicatessen, Fishmonger, Minimarket and much more. Clothes shops, antique shops, restaurants and art galleries provide interest for all and refreshments at the Hoste Arms are not to be missed.
This beautiful area of the North Norfolk coast contains many large sandy beaches such as Holkham, Wells next Sea, Brancaster and Burnham Overy Staithe where an island is reached by ferry at high tide in the summer. Sailing is popular from many little harbours where you can launch your own boat, hire one if required and get sailing lessons from Sailcraft at Brancaster Staithe.
Walking is popular whether on the Coastal Path or Peddars Way or just wandering and exploring the country lanes and villages. Bicycles can be hired at Wells next Sea . RSPB Titchwell is a must for bird watchers. Artists and photographers have an abundance of locations to keep them happy and the large skies and light of North Norfolk are renowned. Golf courses at Hunstanton, Brancaster and Sheringham are challenging for even the lowest handicap. Country houses of interest include Sandringham, Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall and Blickling.
